Do you deliver every image you shoot?

No, Some of the images may be duplications, blurry, test shots or shots with bad expressions. I go through every image and hand pick the ones that will be used, this is to insure you get the best images from your session or event.

What is your philosophy regarding photography?

My photography philosophy is focused on the client. I provide a service and it is all about pleasing. You want a moment captured that describes you and shows exactly who you are. I am driven by your ideas and your style. I am simply an artist shooting who you are and what you want to represent.

What is your photography style?

My photography style is documentary. I capture moments more often than poses. My clients should feel like I’m not there. Everything should come and feel naturally.

How many images do you typically deliver from a session? From a wedding or event?

Typically from a session you will get at least 40 images. From an event, depending on duration of time for the event you will get at least 200 images. Weddings can go well over 500 images.

When can we expect to see our photos from our session?

About 2-4 days after the session you will get emailed some sample photos so you can see how they turned out and you can tell me if anything needs to be changed or not.

 When and where can we view our pictures?

If you would like to view your pictures prior to getting them you can set up a drop box account and I will deposit the images there for your personal viewing.

How long does it take to get my images?

It take up to two weeks. For weddings and events it will take up to four weeks.

How long does it take to get my album if I order a book?

Allow an extra week if you ordered a book from your event.

Are there any additional charges for me to receive my photos?

The only time there will be an additional charge for you to receive your photos is if you have an event or wedding and you exceed the contracted time. You will have to pay the additional time fee before you can receive your photos.

Do you offer prints?

At this time I do not offer prints.

Where can I go get my pictures printed?

You can go anywhere that does prints i.e. Walmart, Walgreens, CVS etc..

What rights do I have to the digital prints?

You have the right to reprint images whenever you want. However you may not sell your images for profit or publish your images without the written consent of Ink Blotches Photography.

What type of camera/equipment do you use?

I shoot with Canon DSLR’s.

Do you have Liability Insurance?


Do you backup our images? How can we ensure that our images won’t be lost?

I do back up your images in case of any computer crashes or glitches.

What if I lose my images?

There is a replacement fee for any lost images (See Rates) but I only insure to have your images for up to a years time.

Do you touch up all the images on our USB?

That depends on the type of session you have. For boudoir, weddings and newborns; yes all the images will be touched up. For all other sessions like events, Portraits and Seniors not all images will be touched up. To touch up all images there will be an extra charge added to the total cost.

What do you mean by “touching up” the photos?

Touching up the photos includes but is not limited to; color correction, exposure correction, black and white/sepia, any Photoshop additions, any use of air bush and facial enhancements.

I’d like you to Photoshop our name and date into the save-the-dates or senior announcements, is that included in the package pricing?

Yes it is!

What should I wear?

It is best to keep clothing simple, avoiding logos or busy patterns. I always suggest layers/textures. In group photos, color coordinating is always more pleasing to the eye. Wear clothes that represent you and who you are.

What should I bring?

Bring anything that you think would look good in your pictures. I will always try to incorporate any props you feel would look good in your photos. For shooting children and babies, bring a favorite toy, a snack and a drink

How long do the sessions last?

The sessions can last up to two hours. For newborn shoots the sessions will last two and a half hour for setup.

Where will the photos be taken?

That is all depended on what type of setting you would like. I can choose the place or you can but for example, I can’t choose to do a session downtown if you want your pictures in a park.

Do you have a studio?

At the moment no. I do indoor picture in my home or I can come set something up in your home.

Do you studio provide videography services?

Yes! You can see the detail of the videography services under the connect/rates tab above.

If I want my makeup done do I need to bring anything?

You can bring the foundation you normally use but you really don’t need anything except a clean face.

What type of events do you do?

The events I do include but aren’t limited to; birthdays, baby showers, bridal showers, cooperate events, graduation parties, graduations, proms, births, christenings etc..

Do you do destination weddings?

I have not done a destination wedding before but yes I am willing to travel for my clients. The price would be negotiated during the time of consultation.

How many hours do you suggest we set aside for wedding day photos?

At least an hour, but I highly suggest you set aside a hour and a half. There are so many things that will be rushed on this day, you don’t want your photos to be one of them.

I have downtime between events on my wedding day. Will I be charged for that downtime?

There won’t be any extra fees added on for downtime but that will be apart of the time used to shoot your wedding.

When should we do our engagement session?

That depends on when you want your save the dates to go out, usually at least three months in advance if not more.

What happens if we go over the contracted amount of time?

If you go over the contracted amount of time you will be charged an extra amount per hour (See under Rates)

Do you provide partial day coverage?

No. The basic price will remain the same whether you need the whole nine hours or less.

Is there an additional fee if we pay via credit card?


If we cancel the wedding will we receive our deposit back?

No, all deposits are non refundable.

If we change our wedding to a different date will we be able to use our deposit towards a future date?

Yes you can as long as your date change is outside of 30 days from your original wedding date.

Are there travel fees associated with the Engagement Session and/or Wedding Day shoot(s)?

Yes, but this is handled on a case by case basis. If you exceed over 50 miles from the St. Louis Area.

Do you offer any discounts on weekday weddings, Sunday weddings, or weddings during the offseason?

Not at this time.

We live out-of-town. Is it possible for our family/friends to meet with you instead?

That is of course possible but know that we should still meet just so I can get to know you and a understanding for what you are looking for out of your session.

How do I set up an appointment to meet you in person and see some of your work?

To set up an appointment with me just call the contact number below and I will be more that happy to schedule an appointment.

How do I reserve you for my date?

To actually reserve your date you will need to put down a deposit. For regular sessions your deposit will be half of your total cost. For weddings and events the deposits are more (see rates). The deposits are nonrefundable and go toward your total cost for the session.

How do we book you?

To book me go to the book your session tab above and fill out the information. I will contact you within two days to get everything setup for your session.

How do I pay?

You can pay via, cash check or credit card in person or credit card on my website.

When do I pay?

Remainder of payment after your deposit is due at the start time of your session, unless it is a wedding where payment is due two weeks in advance.

What if I need to cancel?

If you need to cancel a session I need to know as soon as possible. If you do not cancel at least 48 hours in advance, your deposit will be used as a cancellation fee and you will have to do a complete payment again to book another session.
